We have two formal recital a year at Grand Avenue Presbyterian Church in December and May.
Students may participate in the Plano Music Teachers’ Festivals at Collin College. The Broadway Festival is in January, the American Festival is in October, the Voice Festival is in March, and the Sonatina Festival TBA. Eligible students may audition for an Ensemble that will play at the State Convention.
Students are encouraged to take the State Theory Exam offered by the Grayson County Music Teachers Association. A Festival and State Convention Ensemble are in the planning stages.
Denison Performing Arts has a Piano Contest in April for area students.
